ArtsEngine regularly co-sponsors programs, events and initiatives with a variety of campus partners, with the goal of increasing student engagement in the arts and across disciplinary boundaries.
The Science As Art Contest, co-sponsored with Arts at Michigan and the LSA Science Learning Center, challenges students to create art work that demonstrates a scientific idea or principle. Cash awards are made in multiple categories, with a Grand Prize winner selected from all submitted work. This year’s contest deadline is January 19, 2018.
The 2018 Art 4 Activism Competition, co-sponsored with The Ginsberg Center and Arts at Michigan combines student submitted short-form writing (on the theme of American Values?) with student designed poster graphics. These finished posters will be printed and widely distributed on campus in the 2018-2019 academic year. The deadline for the short-form writing portion of the competition is Friday, November 3, 2017.
