The Duderstadt Center is home to a state-of-the-art Video Studio where the 1st Annual Media & Studio Arts Symposium was hosted Monday, February 12, 2018 – Friday, February 16, 2018. Each day, from 1 PM – 9 PM, free workshops and presentations explored “the nexus of interdisciplinary innovation, research and discovery for media creation and performance technologies.” The presenters included: faculty and staff from University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance; The Duderstadt Center’s Media and Digital Consultants, two recent graduates from the Penny Stamps School of Art and Design and the Department of Performing Arts Technology, the Senior Product Marketing Manager on the Pro Video Applications team at Apple, a Staff Mastering Engineer at Concord Music, Co-Founder of Derivative, and a Regional Account Manager for Canon. Throughout the week attendees engaged with The Duderstadt Center’s video, audio, interactive, and projection technology !
