Inaugural ConFabCafe on Creative Placemaking

First ArtsEngine ConFabCafe!
Creative Placemaking
Friday, March 24

Thanks to all faculty and staff who attended the first ArtsEngine ConFabCafe, Friday, March 24, on the topic of Creative Placemaking. We especially want to thank Nick Tobier, Special Council to the Provost on Community Engagement, and the Ginsberg Center’s Director Mary Jo Callan for co-hosting the event.

The environment was one of open dialogue and exploration in the spirit of coming together to create durable collaborations between faculty, university departments, and community partners. Next steps include more targeted faculty and community engagement and showcases of the current work being done in this arena.

The ConFabCafe series is a regular faculty-focused series of dialogues on emerging themes of interest for the development of new interdisciplinary partnerships around research and teaching through the arts.
