Abstract
This digital image illustrates the concept of a building designed with Mobius blocks, indicating there is no distinct beginning or end to the structure. Through this piece, I aim to merge mathematical and architectural principles with artistic expression, prompting viewers to reconsider the structure of space and movement. The blocks, arranged in various forms, symbolize the infinity within the scientific field, emphasizing the endless possibilities and continuity inherent in both art and science.
To showcase the mathematical and physical principles of science within the artwork, I adapted the traditional spatial understanding of structure by using clean geometric lines and shading to enhance the illusion of depth and continuity. By carefully manipulating perspective and lighting, I aimed to create a visually compelling paradox within each wood block. The repetition of arrow shapes and patterns reinforces the sense of infinity, while the seamless transitions between steps create the illusion of continuous motion.
Additionally, to depict the concept of endless motion within a 3D space, I carefully selected an angle that mirrors the natural flow of the blocks, seamlessly integrating both science and art. This angle ensures the composition remains dynamic, guiding the viewer’s eye along an uninterrupted path. The Mobius staircase serves as a metaphor for the infinite pursuit of knowledge in both science and art. By incorporating mathematical and scientific structures into artistic expression, this piece highlights the beauty of natural order and possibility.
