This program explores belief during times of crisis within a newly conceived narrative. Runyonland Productions rethinks Adam Guettel’s song cycle Myths & Hymns with a fresh cast of characters. Students in SMTD’s celebrated Musical Theater program, guided by Broadway director Geoff Packard with Broadway music director Jason DeBord leading an expanded instrumental arrangement, join art historians and leaders from three world religions to draw out a 21st-century moral of understanding and acceptance.
