Robin Brewer (SI)

We hosted our annual retreat for the MISC seminar series. The invited speakers were highly interdisciplinary, and doing work in academia that was also interesting to industry, leading to a desire for more academic speakers next year. Jessica Hullman is a joint professor between Computer Science and Engineering and Journalism at Northwestern University. Sean Munson is part of the Human Centered Design and Engineering department, and does work with Psychiatry and Mental Health at UW. Both presented work that challenged technical and non-technical disciplines.
